The Reference Circuit on the Costa Blanca

Welcome to the new edition of the IQL Sports UTR 2025 Circuit, an 11-month competition that combines sporting excellence with the UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) ranking system. A unique opportunity to compete at the highest level and improve your international ranking.

2025 Tournament Schedule

PHASE 1

  • 15-16 Febrary: Tournament UTR PHASE 1.1 – FINISHED – go to summary
  • 29-30 March: Tournament UTR DOBLES PHASE 1.1 – FINISHED – go to summary
  • 12-13 April: Tournament UTR PHASE 1.2 FINISHED – go to summary
  • 21-22 June: Tournament UTR PHASE 1.3
  • 19-20 July: Tournament UTR Doubles FASE 1.2

PHASE 2 – Dates to be determined

Competition System:

Tournament format
  • All draws in each category will be in a Round-Robin format, with at least two matches and a final draw, with the best or two best players from each Round-Robin draw qualifying.
  • Each draw will have a minimum of four players and a maximum of 16 per category.
Match format
  • All matches will be played in a best-of-three sets to four games, with a super tiebreak in the third set in the event of a tied set.
  • The semifinals and finals will be played in a best-of-three sets to a four-game tiebreak.
  • – If necessary, the referee may schedule matches under artificial lighting.
  • The junior categories will play on hard courts. The senior and senior categories will play on clay courts.
Categories
  • We offer competition in men’s and women’s categories.
  • Mixed youth categories (-16) and senior male and female or mixed (+16).
  • Differentiated levels from 1 to +9 in both categories. (1-3, 3-6, 6-9…).

Scoring System:

Double Scoring System.
  1. UTR Score: Varies depending on the player’s category and rating.
  2. Internal Scoring: Points system for the Master’s Degree Course.

Registration Process:
  • Registration is managed online through our web.
  • The registration fee for any category and all tournaments will be €25 (IQL players €20).
  • Payment for registration will be made at the time of registration by bank transfer on our website, following the registration steps.
  • Registrants will receive a confirmation email after paying their registration fee.
  • In case of any issues with the registration or payment process, interested players can contact us at [email protected], including the name, rating, and tournament in question, along with their query.
  • Registration closes on the Tuesday before the tournament starts at 11:00 PM.
  • Once the registration period has closed, the provisional list of those admitted will be published for 24 hours to correct any errors. After this deadline, the draw will be held.
  • Players who qualify for the finals are required to wait until the closing ceremony; otherwise, they will not receive a prize or trophy.
  • The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances except in cases of force majeure, which will be assessed by the club and the organization.
  • The organization reserves the right to refuse registration of players.

The organization reserve the right to increase or decrease the number of participants in each of the final draws or round robins, depending on the number of entries for each event. Any changes to the rules will be announced or published prior to the draw on each tournament’s website.

Seeding and ranking

Seeding will be determined by the UTR rating in effect at the time of the draw.

Awards and trophies.
  • Players registered for each tournament will receive a welcome pack.
  • The champions and runners-up of each tournament will receive a trophy and medal.
  • The Masters champions will receive a contract from TECNIFIBRE.

Qualification and Requirements for the UTR Sports Costa Blanca Circuit Masters
    • To be eligible to compete in the Costa Blanca Masters Circuit, players must have competed in at least two of the circuit’s individual tournaments.
    • In the event of a tie in points between several players to qualify for the Masters, the following criteria will be followed.
    • The top 8 ranked players in each category in the COSTA BLANCA Circuit ranking will have the right to play the MASTERS.

In the event of a tie in points between several players to qualify for the Masters, the following criteria will be followed:

    1. Number of tournaments played
    2. Maximum rounds reached
    3. Draw
